Annika Glac is a multifaceted creative force, having transitioned from a successful career as a classical pianist and theatre director to the realm of cinema.
After studying at the prestigious Victorian College of the Arts, Glac made her feature film debut with the Australian-Polish co-production "Belladonna" in 2009, which she wrote, directed, and co-produced. The film was shot on location in both Australia and Poland, the countries she calls home, and was successfully distributed throughout North America and Europe.
Glac's second feature film, "Bunny" (2014),a critically acclaimed production shot in Warsaw, further delved into her recurring themes of isolation and connection, which are woven throughout much of her work.
Currently in pre-production is the period biopic "Radiant", Glac's third feature as writer-director, as well as the large-scale video installation "Voyager".
In addition to her film work, Glac has also been developing her TV series "Helena I am", which was chosen as part of the prestigious Torino Series lab in 2021.
Glac co-founded Glass Kingdom, an Australian-based production company, alongside Marcus Struzina, solidifying her position as a prominent figure in the Australian film industry.
