Annie Young Frisbie, a native of Baltimore, Maryland, received her education from St. Paul's School for Girls and Franklin and Marshall College, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in theater and American Studies. She furthered her studies at New York University, graduating with a Master of Arts degree in Cinema Studies.
In her professional career, Annie served as the Senior Editor for Zoom In Online, a position that allowed her to hone her editorial skills. In 2005, she photo edited "The Art of the Documentary," a publication that featured interviews with renowned filmmakers such as Ken Burns, Albert Maysles, and Errol Morris.
Annie's academic pursuits also led her to serve as an Adjunct Instructor of Screenwriting at Messiah College, a liberal arts institution in central Pennsylvania, from 2002 to 2005. Her expertise in the field of screenwriting and filmmaking has also earned her a spot on the nominating committee for the IFP Market Awards, a position she has held since 2000. In 2004, she took on the additional role of IFP Market Awards Coordinator.
In addition to her professional endeavors, Annie is also a dedicated member of several organizations. She is a member of the Writers Guild of America, East, and the La Leche League, a global organization that supports breastfeeding and motherhood. Furthermore, she holds the esteemed title of International Board Certified Lactation Consultant.
Annie resides in Queens, New York City, with her husband, John Frisbie, and their two daughters.
