Biography

Anne Nagel's life was marked by a tumultuous blend of beauty, tragedy, and disappointment. Born to devoutly religious Bostonian parents who had long envisioned a life of devotion for her, she was enrolled in a preparatory school to prepare for a future as a nun. However, her early fascination with the world of photography led her to work part-time as a model, and by her mid-teens, she had grown increasingly drawn to the allure of Hollywood. This shift in priorities led her to join a Boston theater company, and subsequently, her family relocated to California.
