Anne Bergstedt's early life was shaped by her upbringing in Scandinavia, Texas, and California, where her passion for cinema, movement, and performance began to take root from a very young age.
As an actress, Anne has had the opportunity to appear on screen in several notable productions, including TV shows such as Boardwalk Empire and Dag, as well as films directed by Darren Aronofsky, including Black Swan and Noah. Her career in film began with a unique experience, serving as a stand-in for Charlize Theron on a film set.
Anne's theatrical training took place at The Juilliard School and under the guidance of Hope Arthur at Lee Strasberg. Her extensive theater credits include performances in productions such as Brecht's The Jewish Wife, Sam Shepard's Icarus's Mother, Shanley's Savage in Limbo, LA's longest-running play Eavesdropper, and the Swedish classic Kristina Från Duvamåla.
Prior to her acting career, Anne enjoyed a successful modeling career that spanned nearly a decade. In 2013, she became a member of The Model Alliance, an organization that advocates for fair and equal labor rights within the fashion industry. Anne has appeared in campaigns and shows for notable brands such as D & G, Stella McCartney, Rodarte, Diesel, and Jaeyoon Jeong. She has also modeled for campaigns supporting social causes, including NOH8 and PETA.
Anne has a twin sister named Emilia.
In 2018, Anne starred in the first film to be produced by an airline, East Meets West Side Story, directed by Swedish talent Johan Storm. The film premiered inside a working airport hangar in Helsinki, making it a truly unique and memorable experience.
Anne is fluent in English, Norwegian, Swedish, and French, and currently resides in Los Angeles, California.
