Annamaria Lorusso, a talented individual, was born in the charming town of Altamura, Apulia, to a loving family. Her mother, Maria, a skilled seamstress, and her father, Attanasio, an employee of AMIU, instilled in her a passion for the performing arts from a young age. When Annamaria was just eight years old, her mother discovered an acting and singing competition on the radio, and she decided to enroll her in it, sparking a lifelong passion for acting.
Tragedy struck in 2001 when Annamaria's father was diagnosed with cancer, and he sadly passed away in March 2002. The loss was devastating, and Annamaria stood by her mother, helping her cope with depression. Their bond grew stronger, and Annamaria's love and respect for her mother only deepened.
After completing her education in Foreign Languages and Literatures in May 2002, Annamaria began taking acting classes, honing her skills in elocution and production design. She soon became involved in theatre, realizing her dream of becoming an actress. In 2004, she relocated to northern Italy, where she started working as a teacher in a primary school.
Over the years, Annamaria explored the independent film world, producing, directing, and acting in several projects. Her breakthrough came in 2015 with the film Insane, and she went on to produce, direct, and act in two short movies. Her work gained recognition, and she won four Awards of Excellence at the "Best Shorts Film Competition" and a Special Mention for her short film.
In 2015, Annamaria co-produced The Choice, a film in which she also acted and directed, earning her critical acclaim. Her success continued with The Reaping (2017),a Television Series she co-produced with Roberto D'Antona.
