Angus Alan Douglas Douglas-Hamilton, the 15th Duke of Hamilton and 12th Duke of Brandon, a prestigious titleholder, was appointed a Knight of the Order of St. John (KStJ),a prestigious honor.
Initially, he was styled Earl of Angus, a title he held until 1940. Subsequently, he became the Marquess of Douglas and Clydesdale, a position he occupied from 1940 to 1973. Notably, he held the distinction of being the premier peer of Scotland, a prestigious position of great importance.
