Born in Los Angeles, this driven individual, with Korean-American roots, has made a name for herself as an emerging actor, writer, YouTube personality, host, and model. Raised in San Diego, this So-Cal native's journey to the entertainment industry began unexpectedly when her mother secretly enrolled her in the Miss Korea pageant, in an attempt to soften her tomboy exterior. Initially, Angie was resistant to her mother's efforts, but her competitive nature wouldn't allow her to lose, leading her to find success in both Miss Korea and Miss Asia USA pageants.
This introduction to the stage spotlight planted a seed in her that would eventually blossom into a passion and love for acting. She went on to receive her paralegal certificate, but soon quit to pursue her true calling in the entertainment industry. Despite lacking acting experience, her quirky and charming personality quickly shone through to casting directors, leading to her landing the female lead in KTOWN COWBOYS, alongside notable actors Ken Jeong, Daniel Dae Kim, and Eric Roberts.
This momentum carried over to her next role in the HBO indie short, THE LAST SONG, alongside seasoned veteran Ernie Hudson. Her performance in this film further solidified her position in the industry, paving the way for her to star in the highly acclaimed and controversial SPA NIGHT at the Sundance Film Festival. Since then, she has continued to work on various productions, showcasing her versatility and dedication to her craft, and has become a pioneer in the Asian-American entertainment community.
In addition to her acting credits, Angie has also appeared in commercials for Samsung, music videos, YouTube short films, and other projects. When she's not acting, she spends her time writing, creating shorts with her colleagues, and enjoying time with her family in Orange County.
