Person Biography:
She began her career as an intern at Elektra Records, where she gained valuable experience before graduating from UCLA. After her graduation, she was hired as a publicity assistant at Atlantic Records in 1993. Her hard work and dedication led to her rapid rise to senior director, where she worked with notable acts such as Stone Temple Pilots, Kid Rock, and Jewel.
In 2001, she moved to Columbia Records as a VP, where she worked closely with talented artists like John Mayer, System of a Down, and the Offspring. She also developed a strong relationship with a young singer, Katy Perry, whose album for the label was never released.
She then joined Virgin Records as an SVP in 2005, where she played a crucial role in launching the successful campaign to bring Katy Perry to the label. Her work on Perry's breakthrough album "One of the Boys" and its follow-up "Teenage Dream" showcased her expertise in A&R and creative direction.
Before departing Virgin Records in 2011, she was SVP of media and creative services. She then joined Epic Records as an EVP of marketing, a position she held for less than a year.
In 2011, she left Sony Music to join Jeff Kwatinetz at Prospect Park, which later evolved into The Firm and Big3/Prospect Park/Cube Vision. There, she worked closely with Ice Cube, his son O'Shea Jackson Jr., and other artists.
In 2016, she was promoted to head of music at the company, but unfortunately, she became ill shortly after and spent the next couple of years battling cancer.
