Biography

Andy Lucas, a highly accomplished actor, began his training in the Stanislavski method at East 15 Drama School, under the guidance of renowned directors Joan Littlewood and Margaret Berry. His inaugural role after graduation was a nationwide tour of England, performing in Berthold Brecht's critically acclaimed productions, "Fears" and "Miseries of the Third Reich". This tour led to his discovery by the film industry, resulting in a significant role in John Schlesinger's "Yanks", alongside the esteemed actors Richard Gere and Vanessa Redgrave.

This marked the beginning of a long and successful career in American films, with notable roles in Warren Beatty's "Reds" and more recently, "How to Lose Friends and Alienate People". His extensive filmography also includes notable titles such as "Alien vs. Predator", "Quadrophenia", "Sexy Beast", and "Half Moon Street".

Andy's impressive television career spans a wide range of popular shows, including "Minder", "The Professionals", "Birds of a Feather", "The Bill", "Judge John Deed", "Hotel Babylon", "Benidorm", "Casualty", "Lovejoy", "Spaced", "Auf Wiedersehen Pet", "The Line of Beauty", "Lock Stock: The TV Series", and the infamous "Eldorado".

In addition to his screen work, Andy has made a significant impact in the world of theatre, with notable West End credits including "Cross from the Garden of Allah" alongside Glenda Jackson and Nigel Hawthorne, "Extremities" with Helen Mirren, the award-winning "Short Eyes" at the Young Vic, and "Death" by Woody Allen at the Donmar Warehouse, which inspired the charity Childline. He has also performed in "The Complete Casanova" at the Warehouse Theatre.

As a producer and director, Andy has worked on numerous theatrical productions, both on the Fringe and in the West End, including the Donmar Warehouse and Jermyn Street. He is also an accomplished radio performer, with a background in drama, comedy, and voice-over work.
