Andy Goldenberg is a multi-talented individual who has made a significant impact in the entertainment industry. He is best known for his alter ego, Goldentusk, a YouTube personality who has garnered over 60 million views by creating and performing original lyrics to classic movie theme songs. Time Out NY Film Critic Keith Uhlich has even nicknamed him "The Theme Song Sondheim" due to his exceptional talent.
Andy's journey in the entertainment industry began when he wrote and performed the Superman Theme Song in 2006, which may have been one of the first YouTube videos many people watched. Since then, he has appeared in several TV and film roles, including Jack and Jill (2011),Love, Weddings & Other Disasters (2020),Broad City (2014),Austin & Ally (2011),and iCarly (2007).
As a skilled improviser, Andy is a graduate of Second City LA and performs regularly with the powerhouse improv group Freedom Snatch. In fact, their Los Angeles Improv Cagematch dynasty was the subject of a documentary called The Laughing Matter (2011).
Andy's writing skills have also earned him recognition, as he was accepted into the Sundance New Voices Lab as an up-and-coming writer and won Best Screenwriting at the HollyWeb Fest for his work on Police and Quiet (2015). He has also collaborated with various companies, including Google, VR Scout, and VR Playhouse, on virtual reality comedy content, and has worked with Disney XD, Legendary Entertainment, STX Films, and Stan Lee's POW! Entertainment through YouTube Space LA.
In addition to his impressive career, Andy has also been the cover boy for the popular Nice Jewish Guys Calendar, won five game shows, published a children's book called "Peter, the Paranoid Pumpkin," and even wrestled an 8-foot alligator. Interestingly, his iconic "Jew-Fro" hairstyle did not fully develop until he was in 7th grade.
