Biography

Andy Gates is an American Film and Television actor who has undergone rigorous training at prestigious institutions such as Emerson College, American Conservatory Theatre, and The Actors Workshop in Boston. His extensive training also includes mentorship under renowned professionals like Cliff Osmond, Michelle Danner, Ron Max, Rick Pagano, and Susie Landau.

Andy's acting career began with his first film role in the 2005 film "The Cleaning Lady", and his professional stage debut was in 1990 at ACT's annual production of "A Christmas Carol" at the Orpheum Theatre in San Francisco. This was a poignant performance, as the Geary Theatre, their original venue, was severely damaged in the 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake.

Interestingly, Andy also appeared in a National Geographic Special in 2005, playing the role of a tourist from Oklahoma who was trapped on the Bay Bridge during the same devastating quake.

As an actor, Andy specializes in portraying the everyman, and his down-to-earth looks and charm often belie his true passion for the Horror genre, which has been his primary love in cinema and the reason he became an actor in the first place.
