Andrey Platonov, a renowned literary figure, entered this world on the twentieth of August, 1899, in the city of Voronezh, which was then part of the vast Russian Empire, but is now an integral part of the Russian Federation.
As a writer, Platonov is particularly famous for his literary masterpieces, including the notable works "Revolt in the Desert", published in 1931, "Three Brothers", which saw the light of day in 1981, and "Zhitieyskoe delo", a 1976 publication.
Tragically, Platonov's life came to a close on January 5, 1951, in Moscow, the capital city of the Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic, which was then a part of the USSR, but is now a thriving metropolis within the Russian Federation.
