Andrew Rush, a former professional baseball player turned American actor and model, has made a name for himself in the entertainment industry through his versatility and talent. His most notable roles include starring in the OWN television series Ambitions and films such as Alex and Me, Tyler Perry's Boo! A Madea Halloween, and 42. Additionally, he has appeared in a range of popular television shows, including CBS NCIS: New Orleans, Drop Dead Diva, Dynasty, Valor, Mixology, Scorpion, The Game, and Days of Our Lives.
Born in Detroit, Michigan, but raised outside Atlanta, Georgia, Andrew is of half Costa-Rican descent. He graduated from Georgia State University with two bachelor's degrees in computer science and marketing, and was an accomplished athlete throughout his high school, college, and professional career, playing multiple sports including football, baseball, and more.
After graduating, Andrew began his career in modeling, which led to several acting roles in commercials. In 2012, he made the bold move to Los Angeles to pursue his dream of becoming a full-time actor, taking acting classes in Atlanta and studying with renowned actor studios in Los Angeles. Over the years, he has enjoyed significant success with numerous national commercials and has expanded his commercial career into acting in popular television shows and feature films.
When not on set, Andrew remains an active and adventurous individual, with a range of hobbies and interests that include astronomy, traveling, visiting and hiking national parks, fishing, learning about astrophysics, and playing sports.
