Andrew Librizzi's journey in the film industry began in the mid-1990s, when he wrote, co-produced, and directed his first feature film, Holding On. This internationally acclaimed film won awards at the Houston Worldfest Film Festival and secured both domestic and international distribution.
Beyond his work in feature films, Librizzi has also written and directed instructional and commercial projects for prominent national clients, including Visa, Siemens Rolm, Palm Beach Tan, and Nortel Communications. His efforts have been recognized with numerous industry awards, including five Telly Awards and two Communicator Awards.
In 1995, Librizzi founded the Desert Bloom Theatre, where he refined his skills as a writer/director through the creation of original main stage romantic comedies, such as "The First Church of Texaco", "The Boxer's Garden", and "Peanut Butter and Tofu on Jewish Rye". His plays have since been performed in professional and community theaters across the United States and Canada.
Librizzi's work in television includes directing one of the first High Definition Television pilots, Texas Tales and Legends, which starred Barry Corbin. He is also set to write and direct the follow-up series, Legends & Outlaws.
In 2009, Librizzi wrote and directed the short film Still Born, which was produced in just two weeks for the 168 Hour Film Festival. The film received eleven nominations, including awards for Best Director, Best Film, Cinematography, Best Actor, and Best Actress. It was also selected as one of twelve finalists for Best Film in the Damah Film Festival.
Librizzi is currently working on his second original feature film, Beyond The Farthest Star.
