Biography

Andy Lauer is a multifaceted individual, exceling as both an actor and a filmmaker, with a passion for mentoring under the guidance of renowned directors Oliver Stone, David Fincher, and James Burrows.

Throughout his career, Lauer has showcased his versatility by shooting on a wide range of formats, including HDV, DSLR, Beta, 16, S16, and 35, in some of the most challenging environments imaginable, such as the North Pole and underwater.

Andy Lauer is perhaps best known for his role as "Charlie" in the long-running hit TV show Caroline in the City.

His current feature film, The One I Write For You, is a highly anticipated project starring Kevin Pollack, Christopher Lloyd, and Cheyenne Jackson, and is scheduled to hit theaters in winter 2014.

Lauer's latest documentary, Gridiron Heroes, has gained significant recognition, winning Best Feature Documentary at the LA Film and Script Festival and Best Direction at the NY International Film Festival. This powerful film tells the story of fallen high school football players and features a star-studded cast, including Taylor Kitsch, Mike Ditka, Kurt Warner, Deacon Jones, and Al Michaels.

As an executive producer, Lauer has also worked on a sister project titled Head's Up, which is being produced by Peter Berg.

In addition to his filmmaking endeavors, Lauer has directed, written, and produced several other notable projects, including Going Beyond, a heartwarming story about a group of heroes fighting HIV in India, featuring Academy Award winner Jeremy Irons; Adventures of a Teenage Dragon Slayer, a family-friendly film that remained on the charts for 28 consecutive weeks; and The Tehuacan Project, a tender story about deaf children overcoming incredible obstacles in rural Mexico, executive produced by Brad Pitt and narrated by Adrien Brody and Esai Morales.

As a proud father of three, Lauer is also an accomplished soccer coach, making him a well-rounded and talented individual with a passion for storytelling and a dedication to his craft.
