Andrew Hanson, a rural Iowa native, defied his parents' expectations by pursuing a degree in Psychology at the University of Southern California, despite their initial disapproval.
However, after succumbing to their pressure, he switched gears and graduated with a theatre degree, a decision that would ultimately shape his future as a writer.
Since then, Andrew has made a name for himself in the writing world, with publications in newspapers and alternative press, as well as freelance work for the Los Angeles Times, covering television and video games.
In addition to his writing endeavors, Andrew has also honed his comedic skills, hosting the weekly stand-up show "The Big Idea," performing improv and sketch comedy at various venues throughout Los Angeles, including the IOWest and UCB Theatres.
Andrew's writing partnership with Patrick Kevin Day dates back to their college days, and together they have achieved significant success, including winning the first-ever TV pilot writing award at the Austin Film Festival.
Despite his partner's claim that Andrew does most of the work, Andrew remains humble and dedicated to his craft, driven by a passion for storytelling and a desire to make a lasting impact in the world of entertainment.
