Andreas Hykade, a renowned animator, was born in the iconic Summer of Love in the quaint town of Altötting, which is deeply rooted in the Holy Mary cult. Since his early adulthood, Hykade has dedicated his career to creating captivating animated films tailored for mature audiences, with his notable works including "We Lived in Grass" (1995),"Ring of Fire" (2000),"The Runt" (2005),and "Love & Theft" (2010).
As a proud father, Hykade has expanded his creative scope to include animated films for children, showcasing his versatility as an artist. One of his most notable projects for young audiences is the interactive series "TOM & the slice of bread with strawberry jam & honey" (2001-2012),which has garnered widespread acclaim.
Beyond his work as an animator, Hykade also serves as a professor of animation at the prestigious Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg, where he shares his expertise and inspires the next generation of animators.
