Biography

Andrea Martin, a renowned actress, has been hailed as "one of the funniest women on Broadway" by the New York Times. She has garnered numerous awards and nominations for her performances on the Great White Way.

Martin's Broadway debut in MY FAVORITE YEAR earned her the Tony Award, Drama Desk Award, and Theatre World Award. She has since become the featured actress with the most Tony Award nominations in a musical, with a record number for her performances in CANDIDE, OKLAHOMA!, YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN, PIPPIN, and NOISES OFF.

Her impressive list of stage credits also includes the revival of EXIT THE KING, ACT ONE, and her one-person play NUDE NUDE TOTALLY NUDE. Martin has received Tony, Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle, Elliot Norton, and IRNE Awards for her performances.

In addition to her stage work, Martin has made a significant impact in television. She received two Emmy Awards for writing and an Emmy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress in a Variety Series for her work on the legendary sketch comedy show SCTV.
