Anders Bircow, a renowned Danish actor and comedian, was born on December 15, 1951, in Helsinge. He is best recognized as a member of the acclaimed comedy act Linie 3.
Bircow's early life was marked by his education at schools in Nærum, Ramløse, and Helsinge. He initially pursued a career in banking, receiving an education as a bank worker in Helsinge. Later, he worked as a school teacher in Vorgod, Herning. However, his true passion lay in the performing arts, and he went on to receive an education as an actor at Aarhus Theatre.
Throughout his career, Bircow has been involved in various musical endeavors. He played guitar and bass in a band called Cokes from the age of 13 until adulthood. Additionally, he joined Skuespillerskolen (Drama school) at the Århus city's local theatre.
In 1979, Bircow co-founded the comedy group Linie 3 alongside Preben Kristensen and Thomas Eje. The trio premiered their first TV show in 1980 and went on to achieve immense success. Linie 3's millennium show, Rundrejsen 2001, was seen by over 300,000 people, and they celebrated their 25th anniversary with a show in 2004. After a brief hiatus, the group reformed in 2011 and embarked on a nationwide tour, which culminated in a successful comeback show at the Tivoli Theatre in Copenhagen in April 2012.
Bircow has also had a successful solo career, performing one-man shows at company and private events. He has directed plays, translated drama and animated cartoons, and voiced numerous cartoon characters. Moreover, he is the official voice of Mickey Mouse in Denmark.
Beyond his work in the entertainment industry, Bircow has held a significant role in the business world. He served as the chief representative of Amway in Denmark for many years and successfully defended the company against allegations of involvement in a pyramid scheme.
In his personal life, Bircow is married to Marion Bircow and has three daughters, Caroline, Julia, and Sophia.
