Anant Mahadevan is a multi-talented individual, exceling as an actor, director, and writer in both the Marathi and Hindi film industry. Born on August 28, 1950, in Thrissur, United State of Travancore and Cochin, India, he is also known as Anant Narayan Mahadevan.
With a career spanning over three decades, Mahadevan started his film journey in 1984. Currently, at the age of 71 (as of 2021),he has been an integral part of Indian television serials, Hindi movies, and professional English and Hindi theatre.
Mahadevan has received numerous accolades for his work, including the National Award in 2010 for Best Screenplay and Dialogues for the Marathi movie Mee Sindhutai Sapkal, which also earned him a special jury award at the National Film Awards. His film Gour Hari Dastaan was showcased at various international film festivals, including the International Film Festival of India, International Film Festival of Kerala, International Film Festival of Bangalore, and International Film Festival of Chennai.
