Prior to transitioning to documentary filmmaking, Nicholson held a prominent role as an advertising creative director, spearheading successful campaigns for renowned brands such as Got Milk? and Nike.
Happy Campers, her third documentary feature, made its premiere at the esteemed DOCNYC festival in 2023, garnering a Special Jury Award in the process.
In addition to her feature-length work, Nicholson has also made a name for herself as a documentary short filmmaker, with her film Pickle earning audience awards at prominent film festivals including Aspen Shorts and Full Frame.
Pickle's accolades did not stop there, as it was also nominated for an IDA Award and Cinema Eye Honors, selected for the New York Times' Op Docs series, and featured on the esteemed Criterion Channel.
Throughout her career, Nicholson has demonstrated her versatility as a filmmaker, producing and directing two previous feature projects.
