Amnon Buchbinder, a cinematic virtuoso, first set foot in the world of film in the late 1950s, in the heartland of Missouri. As a young enthusiast, he nurtured his passion for the silver screen, and his artistic inclinations eventually led him to the esteemed California Institute of the Arts, where he would go on to earn not one, but two prestigious degrees: a Bachelor of Fine Arts and a Master of Fine Arts.
Throughout his illustrious career, Amnon's films have garnered widespread acclaim, gracing the screens of some of the world's most renowned festivals, including the illustrious Cannes Film Festival, the Edinburgh International Film Festival, the Rotterdam International Film Festival, the Lille International Film Festival, the Toronto International Film Festival, and the Los Angeles Film Festival.
Currently, Amnon resides in the vibrant city of Toronto, Canada, where he serves as the Associate Chair of the Department of Film and Video at York University, a position that allows him to share his vast knowledge and expertise with the next generation of filmmakers.
