Ami Artzi, a veteran of the entertainment industry with over three decades of experience, has primarily worked as a producer and executive producer on numerous major motion pictures. Born in the Middle East, Artzi received his education at the prestigious New York University Film School, where he graduated and went on to produce his first feature film, "The Dreamer", which premiered at the renowned Cannes Film Festival in 1972.
Prior to his association with The Cannon Group Inc., Artzi worked on several notable films, including "Silent Night, Bloody Night" and "Sugar Cookies", in various capacities as producer and production executive. In 1979, when Israeli cousins Menahem Golan and Yoram Globus acquired The Cannon Group Inc. from Dennis Friedland and Christopher Dewey, Artzi remained with the company, continuing to work as a producer and production supervisor on a wide range of films throughout the 1980s, including "Death Wish III and IV", "Runaway Train", and "The Delta Force".
When Menahem Golan left The Cannon Group Inc. as head of the company in 1989, he went on to establish 21st Century Film Corporation, with Ami Artzi joining him as President of the newly formed theatrical production and distribution company from 1990 to 1993. During his tenure, Artzi oversaw the production and distribution of several films, including "The Forbidden Dance", "Phantom of the Opera", and "Night of the Living Dead".
Since his resignation as President of 21st Century Films, Ami Artzi has produced over 20 theatrically released films, and has held positions as CEO of Tricoast International and Amco Entertainment.
