Amber Rivera, born on August 26, 1983, in Tampa, Florida, to Edith Morales and Martin Rivera, both from Bayamón, Puerto Rico, had a childhood that would lay the foundation for her future career in the entertainment industry.
Growing up, Amber would split her time between Florida and Puerto Rico, where she began performing in local stage productions, dance recitals, and commercials at a young age. Her first major pageant experience came at the age of 13 when she competed in the Miss Pre-Teen Florida Pageant and won the coveted title of Miss Photogenic.
The following year, Amber represented Puerto Rico at the prestigious IMTA competition in New York, where she caught the attention of several talent and modeling agencies from Tokyo, Milan, and Los Angeles. Despite being scouted by these prominent agencies, Amber chose to prioritize her education and finish high school before pursuing her acting career.
In 2003, Amber was named "La Cara de Avon" (The Face of Avon) by Caras Magazine in Puerto Rico, a prestigious honor that solidified her status as a rising star in the entertainment industry.
Amber's educational background is just as impressive as her early career achievements. She went on to study drama at The American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York City and Improv at The Groundlings in Los Angeles.
