Amanda Lane has been a prolific and accomplished television writer and director for the past 12 years, making a significant impact on the industry in South Africa and beyond. Her extensive credits include writing and directing some of the country's most groundbreaking and commercially successful television shows across various genres and cultures.
Notable among her credits are her work on MTV's Shuga, where she served as head writer and/or series director for seasons 1 and 2. She also wrote and directed seasons 3, 4, and 5 of Jacobs Cross, as well as seasons 1 and 2 of 4-PLAY: Sex tips for girls, Zone 14, and Soul Buddyz. Additionally, she directed the re-enactments for the acclaimed History Channel documentaries Miracle Rising and Mandela: Nelson Redrawn.
