Alysia hails from Los Angeles, a city where her parents' chance meeting at an acting class would unwittingly set the stage for her own remarkable gifts. Among these talents are a proficiency in acting, singing, writing - both poetry and screenwriting - stand-up comedy, directing, and producing. Her illustrious career in Film and Television boasts an impressive array of credits, including recurring roles on Everybody Hates Chris, Scrubs, NYPD Blue, and The Shield, to name but a few.
However, it was a deep passion for authenticity and cultural relevance that led her to New York four years ago, marking the beginning of her tireless grind. Today, she proudly holds the title of Two Time Manhattan Monologue Slam Champion. Alysia's impressive resume also includes a starring role in the stage production of "Who Is A Virtuous Woman", directed by the illustrious Wendy McKenzie, as well as a forthcoming appearance in the 20th Century Fox Film, The Sitter, opposite the talented Jonah Hill, set to premiere in August 2011.
Furthermore, Alysia is currently working on a One Woman Show, having recently completed filming for the project "Excuse Me For Living", alongside an esteemed cast that includes Tom Pelphrey from Guiding Light, Dick Cavett, Robert Vaughn, and Christopher Lloyd. Additionally, she is honing her stand-up skills at The Gotham Comedy Club, where she is work-shopping her latest material.
