Biography

Alycia Jasmin Debnam-Carey is an Australian actress born on July 20, 1993, in Sydney, Australia.

She grew up in Sydney and graduated from Newtown High School of the Performing Arts in 2011, where she was a percussionist. Debnam-Carey also received the Premier's award for achieving 90's in six subjects.

Alycia began acting at the age of eight, starring in the short feature Martha's New Coat in 2003. She has also appeared in various television productions, including Dance Academy in 2010 and McLeod's Daughters in 2001.

Debnam-Carey made her mark in Hollywood at the age of 18, starring in the documentary Next Stop Hollywood in 2013. The documentary followed six Australian actors as they competed for roles during the U.S. TV pilot season.

She has since starred in major film productions, including Into the Storm in 2014. Debnam-Carey has also had leading roles in many Australian short films and landed the lead role in the TV movie The Devil's Hand in 2014.

In 2014, Alycia guest-starred in the second season of The CW's TV show The 100 as Commander Lexa. She also starred in the unaired AMC pilot Galyntine in 2014.

In 2015, Debnam-Carey was cast as Alicia in the AMC series Fear the Walking Dead, the official companion series and prequel to The Walking Dead.
