Biography

Allan's journey as an actor began after a 30-year stint in the shipping/distribution industry, where he had already been nurturing his passion for acting by participating in local musical productions as an actor, musical director, composer, and lyricist.

In 2006, Allan embarked on his professional acting career, driven by his eagerness and fresh approach to his work, which led to steady employment and a career that has never looked back.

Throughout his career, Allan has appeared in a variety of roles, including commercials for TV and Internet, industrial films, radio spots, and print ads, working with clients such as Cablevision, ESPN, Merck, Citibank, Web MD/Medscape, and AT&T. He has also voiced radio spots and appeared in print ads, showcasing his versatility as an actor.

One of his notable roles was as a principal in the music video for the hit song "Always Loved A Film" by the group Underworld.

In October 2011, Allan took on the role of "Reverend Sykes" in The Shakespeare Theater of New Jersey's production of "To Kill a Mockingbird", which ran through November 2011 to packed houses, becoming the most successful play in the company's history. The New York Times reviewer, Anita Gates, praised Allan's performance, singling out a poignant moment that brought tears to some audience members' eyes.

Allan continues to actively pursue his acting career, making his feature film debut in the Japanese film "The Human Trust", which was released in Japan in September 2013 and premiered in NYC on December 10, 2013.
