Allan Hawco is a talented actor, writer, and executive producer from Newfoundland, Canada. Born on Bell Island, he grew up in The Goulds. He is widely recognized for his diverse range of talents, which allow him to connect with audiences of all ages.
Hawco is best known for his work on the hit CBC television drama/comedy Republic of Doyle, where he played the lead role of Jake Doyle, a private investigator. The show was a huge success, running for six seasons and being sold to markets around the world.
In addition to Republic of Doyle, Hawco has starred in several other acclaimed television productions, including Murdoch Mysteries, ZOS: Zone of Separation, H20, Trojan Horse, Above & Beyond, and The Book of Negroes. He has also appeared in numerous feature films, including Weirdos, Hyena Road, Love & Savagery, Closing the Ring, and The Child Remains.
