Allal Yaâla, a multifaceted artist, is a founding member of the iconic group Nass El Ghiwane, born in the Hay Mohammadi neighborhood of Casablanca's historic Derb Moulay Cherif.
Originally hailing from the Taroudant region, specifically the Houara tribe, Yaâla was immersed in a rich cultural environment that blended traditional and modern Moroccan music from a young age.
The profound silence of expressive wisdom seems to emanate from Hay Mohammadi, the old Casablanca that birthed the pillars of Ghiwane, a testament to the district's significance in shaping the group's unique sound.
Yaâla is renowned for his mastery of the banjo, as well as his role as a teacher of the Arabic lute, and is characterized by his humble and unassuming nature.
