Álisson Ramsés Becker, professionally known as Alisson Becker or simply Alisson, is a renowned Brazilian footballer who currently plays as a goalkeeper for Liverpool in the Premier League and the Brazil national team. Regarded by many as one of the best goalkeepers of his generation, he is admired for his exceptional shot-stopping abilities, precise distribution, and impressive skills in one-on-one situations.
Alisson's footballing journey began in 2002 when he joined Internacional's academy, progressing through the youth setup before making his senior debut in 2013. During his four-year tenure with Internacional's senior team, he won the Campeonato Gaúcho title consecutively, showcasing his exceptional talent.
In July 2016, Alisson signed with Roma, where he earned the Serie A Goalkeeper of the Year award in the 2017-18 season. A year later, Liverpool acquired him for a record-breaking fee of £66.8 million (EUR72.5 million) in July 2018. At Liverpool, Alisson has won numerous accolades, including the Premier League, FA Cup, EFL Cup, UEFA Champions League, and FIFA Club World Cup.
