Alison Arngrim is a New York Times Best Selling author, best known for her portrayal of the nasty Nellie Oleson on the popular television series "Little House On The Prairie". She has appeared in numerous films, television shows, and stage productions, including her one-woman show "Confessions of a Prairie Bitch", which has been performed worldwide.
As a stand-up comedian, Alison has headlined at various nightclubs and comedy venues, and has starred in two comedy series pilots: "Life Interrupted" and "C.P.R. - Child Performers Resurrection Talent Agency". She has also appeared in a horror movie, "The Mephisto Box", and has fulfilled a childhood dream to be in a horror film.
Alison has been a frequent guest on various television shows, including "Jay Leno's Tonight Show", "A&E", "E! Entertainment", "TV Land", and "VH-1". She has also been a subject of interviews on CNN and the Travel Channel.
In addition to her acting and comedy career, Alison is a strong advocate for children's rights and has been involved in various charitable organizations. She has worked with AIDS Project Los Angeles, volunteered at Tuesday's Child, and has served as hostess and producer for the AIDS Project Los Angeles Annual Summer Party.
Alison is currently California Chair, National Spokesperson and Founding Board Member on the National Advisory Board of The National Association to Protect Children, or PROTECT.org, and has spoken before the California Senate and worked on legislative and political campaigns in several states.
She has appeared on numerous television news programs discussing the legal and political issues surrounding child sexual abuse and exploitation, and has come forward to tell the world about the sexual abuse she suffered in her own life.
