Ali Liebert is a multifaceted creative professional, boasting an impressive array of credits in both acting and directing, with a strong presence in the Vancouver film community.
As an actor, Ali has amassed over 100 credits to her name, with recent film appearances including "They Who Surround Us" (Leo Award Nominee) and Stephen Chbosky's "Wonder", starring Julia Roberts and Jacob Tremblay.
Ali is perhaps most notable for her portrayal of Betty Mcrae in Reelz/Global TV's original hit series "Bomb Girls", which earned her a Leo Award and a Canadian Screen Award. She has also made guest appearances on popular TV shows such as "Van Helsing" (Netflix/Syfy),"One of Us Lying" (NBC Universal/Peacock),and "Family Law" (Global),as well as having credits on "MechX4" (DisneyXD),"Ten Days in the Valley" (ABC),"iZombie" (CW),"Legends of Tomorrow" (CW),and "Harper's Island" (CBC).
With her extensive experience in acting, it was only natural for Ali to transition into directing. Her first TV movie, "Amish Abduction" (Lifetime),received a DGC Award nomination for Outstanding Directorial Achievement - Movies for Television in 2020, and was also nominated for a Leo Award for Best Television Movie and Best Lead Performance by a Female.
Ali's debut short film, "The Quieting", made its world premiere at the Inside Out Toronto LGBTQ Film Festival in 2020, and earned her an EDA Award nomination for "Best Female-Directed Short" from the Alliance of Women Film Journalists and Whistler Film Festival.
In addition to her directing credits, Ali has also produced several projects, including "Afterparty", "Whistler Film Festival", and "Cooking With Love" (Hallmark Channel). Her latest TV movie, "The Holiday Sitter", was selected as one of the top 15 Christmas movies by both Vanity Fair and Vogue.
