Born and raised in the United Arab Emirates, Ali's passion for filmmaking was ignited from a young age. In 2003, he took a bold step by enrolling at the prestigious London Film School to pursue his Master's degree in practical film training.
After completing his studies, Ali established his own production company, AFM Films, in 2007. Under his helm, the company has produced a diverse range of films, including feature films, short films, documentaries, TV commercials, and corporate films. His impressive portfolio has earned him recognition and accolades across the globe.
Ali's critically acclaimed short film, 'Under the Sun', was officially selected and nominated for Best Foreign Film in numerous international film festivals. The film also won the prestigious 'Best Emirates Film 2006' award at the Emirates Film Competition held in Abu Dhabi. This remarkable achievement cemented Ali's status as a rising star in the Emirati film industry.

Ali's sophomore film, From A to B, made history by becoming the first Emirati film to open the Abu Dhabi Film Festival. His latest feature, The Worthy, is the Arab world's first post-apocalyptic thriller and was produced by Imagenation Abu Dhabi.
