Biography

Alexis Arquette, born Robert Arquette, was a renowned American actress, whose life was marked by a plethora of talents and a rich family heritage. Born in the vibrant city of Los Angeles, Alexis was the fourth of five children to Lewis Arquette, a multifaceted individual with a background in acting and directing, and Brenda Olivia "Mardi" Nowak, a Jewish actress, poet, theater operator, activist, acting teacher, and therapist. It is worth noting that Lewis's family surname, originally "Arcouet", had a fascinating connection to his father, Cliff Arquette, a comedian who adopted the stage name Charley Weaver. Moreover, Alexis was distantly related to the famous American explorer Meriwether Lewis, adding a touch of adventure to her family's already impressive resume. As the sister of esteemed actors Rosanna, Richmond, Patricia, and David Arquette, Alexis's own career was undoubtedly influenced by her family's passion for the performing arts.
