Biography

Alexander Morton, a renowned Scottish actor, rose to fame as the formidable arch-villain Andy Semple in the long-running soap opera Take the High Road.

Throughout his illustrious career, Morton has shone in a variety of critically acclaimed productions, including the title role in Raindog Theatre's Scots rendition of Shakespeare's Macbeth, directed by the esteemed Robert Carlyle. His portrayal of R.P. McMurphy in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, also directed by Carlyle, showcased his remarkable acting prowess.

In the 2009 film Valhalla Rising, Morton featured as Barde, the chieftain and temporary owner of One Eye, played by the talented Mads Mikkelsen. His extensive experience in the industry has allowed him to share the screen with notable actors such as Clive Owen, with whom he appeared in the TV series Second Sight 1 & 2 and the films I'll Sleep When I'm Dead and Croupier, both directed by Mike Hodges.
