Biography

Alexander Hall's illustrious career in the entertainment industry began with his stage debut at the tender age of four in 1898, marking the early stages of his development as a performer.

He subsequently transitioned to the world of film in 1914, taking on the role of an actor and thus commencing his journey within the cinematic realm.

However, Hall's involvement in the film industry was temporarily put on hold when he left to serve in the American army during World War I. His military service concluded in 1917, and he subsequently returned to the entertainment industry, but this time, he took on a new role, serving as an editor and assistant director.

It was not until 1932 that Hall made his directorial debut, and he would go on to specialize in the production of comedies, crafting a multitude of light and sophisticated films that would become a hallmark of his career.

One of his most notable and enduring works is undoubtedly the charming fantasy film Here Comes Mr. Jordan, released in 1941, which has stood the test of time as a beloved classic in the world of cinema.
