Aleskandra Kurzak's musical journey began at the tender age of seven, when she started taking violin and piano lessons. She furthered her education in vocal arts at the prestigious Musikhochschule Breslau, later transferring to the University of Music and Theatre in Hamburg. During her time at the university, she was also a member of the Opernstudio of the Hamburgische Staatsoper.
At the age of 21, still a student, Kurzak made her professional debut as Susanna in Le nozze di Figaro, a feat that earned her numerous international competition wins. Between 2004 and 2007, she was a member of the ensemble at the Hamburgische Staatsoper, where she honed her skills and expanded her repertoire.
Kurzak's breakthrough came at the age of 27, when she made her debut at the Metropolitan Opera in New York as Olympia in Les Contes d'Hoffmann and at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, as Aspasia in Mitridate. In 2010, she took to the stage at Teatro alla Scala in Milan as Gilda in Rigoletto, cementing her status as a leading soprano.
Throughout her illustrious career, Kurzak has performed a wide range of roles, including Fiordiligi in Così fan tutte, Maria Stuarda, Donna Fiorilla in Il turco in Italia, Donna Anna in Don Giovanni, Nedda in Pagliacci, Susanna in Le nozze di Figaro, Marzelline in Fidelio, Nannetta in Falstaff, Gilda, Adele, Gretel in Hänsel und Gretel, Musetta in La Bohème, Marie in La fille du régiment, Norina in Don Pasquale, Adina in L'elisir d'amore, Violetta in La traviata, Rosina, and Lucia di Lammermoor.
Kurzak has also had the privilege of performing at the Wiener Staatsoper, making her debut in 2008 as Rosina and subsequently singing Adina, Susanna, Marie, Gilda, and Violetta.
