Aleksandr Ptushko, a renowned director and writer, embarked on his journey on April 19, 1900, in Lugansk, a town situated within the Lugansk uyezd of the Yekaterinoslav Governorate, which was then part of the vast Russian Empire.
Fast forward to the present day, Lugansk has evolved into Luhansk, a city located within the Luhansk Oblast of Ukraine, a country that has undergone significant changes since the early 20th century.
Throughout his illustrious career, Ptushko gained recognition for his work on a variety of films, including the 1946 production, "The Stone Flower", the 1953 classic, "Sadko", and the 1972 masterpiece, "Ruslan and Ludmila".
Tragically, Aleksandr Ptushko's life came to an abrupt end on March 6, 1973, in the bustling city of Moscow, which was then part of the Russian SFSR, a Soviet Socialist Republic within the vast Soviet Union.
Today, Moscow has transformed into the capital of the Russian Federation, a country that has undergone significant transformations since the collapse of the Soviet Union.
