Aleksandr Askoldov, a renowned director and actor, entered this world on July 17, 1932, in the vibrant city of Kiev, Ukraine, which was then a part of the USSR. Throughout his illustrious career, he left an indelible mark on the world of cinema, with some of his most notable works including "The Commissar" (1967),"The Butterfly Hunt" (1992),and "Tal cual" (1988).
