Aleksander Underhaug Serigstad, a multifaceted creative force, hails from Kristiansand, Norway, born in 1985. With a strong foundation in formal film education from Lillehammer University College, Serigstad holds a master's degree in Film and Television Studies, which he earned in 2012. His thesis, a meticulous exploration of Norwegian director Bredo Greve, was a significant accomplishment, accompanied by the creation of the documentary Bredo Greve - Filmrebell.
In addition to his work as a director, screenwriter, author, and composer, Serigstad is also known for his collaborations with Filmjunkiene, a Norwegian YouTube duo that critiques B-movies. His involvement with The Filmquiz in Oslo further solidifies his reputation as a film enthusiast.
In 2021, Serigstad founded the podcast Norsk kultfilm, a project he co-hosts with his grandfather, Kristian Serigstad Jensen. This innovative venture delves into the world of Norwegian cult films, featuring in-depth interviews with prominent and lesser-known figures from the Norwegian film industry.
