Abraham Albert Cohen was a Greek-born Romaniote Jewish Swiss novelist who wrote in French. Born in Corfu, Greece in 1895 to Greek Jewish parents, he moved to Marseille, France with his family at a young age. He studied at a private Catholic school and later attended Lycée Thiers, where he befriended Marcel Pagnol.
