Biography

Al Coronel, a native of Los Angeles, was surrounded by the entertainment industry from a young age, but it wasn't until later in life that he pursued his dream of becoming a performer.

Prior to embarking on his acting career, Al became a world-renowned professional dancer in the world of Salsa, traveling extensively to teach and perform at Salsa festivals and events worldwide.

His first film role was in the feature film Blow, starring Johnny Depp and Penelope Cruz, as a salsa dancer. This experience reignited his childhood dream of becoming an actor.

Throughout his career, Al has made numerous appearances in film and television, with one of his highlights being the starring role in the March 2017 hit Marvel movie Logan, alongside Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart, Boyd Holbrook, and Stephen Merchant.

The Wolverine sequel broke box office records and was only the 2nd rated R movie in the Marvel franchise.

Al can also be seen on season 3 of the HBO hit series Westworld and on Season 3 of TNT's hit drama "The Last Ship," which debuted in June 2016 and stars Eric Dane of Grey's Anatomy fame.

As an actor, Al graduated from the two-year program at The Sanford Meisner Center for the Arts in Los Angeles, California, under instructor and Sandy Meisner protege Martin Barter.

On stage, Al has performed in several theater plays, including Romeo and Juliet, Much Ado About Nothing, and the musical Cesar & Ruben, written and directed by Ed Begley Jr.

Born and raised in Los Angeles, the bilingual actor resides in his hometown. A military veteran having served eight years in the United States Marine Corps, Al continues to support vets through the Veterans in Film and Television program, participating in many events for its members.
