Akira Terao, a renowned Japanese actor, was born to a prominent father, Jukichi Uno, a famous actor in his own right. Following his graduation from Bunka Gakuin University, Terao embarked on a creative journey by forming a rock band called "The Savage", which, although short-lived, enjoyed moderate success due to their hit single "Itsumademo, Itsumademo". In 1967, Kei Kuma extended an offer to Terao to co-star alongside his father in the film "Tunnel of Kurobe", marking a significant milestone in his acting career.

Notably, Akira Kurosawa, a legendary Japanese filmmaker, handpicked Terao to play key roles in two of his iconic films: "Ran" (1985) and "Dreams" (1990),in which Terao portrayed Kurosawa himself.
In addition to his acting pursuits, Terao has remained dedicated to his passion for music, writing and singing songs that have garnered critical acclaim. His song "Ruby no Yubiwa" won the prestigious "Record Taisho" prize in 1986. Furthermore, Terao has continued to work extensively in television, collaborating with Ishihara TV Productions on various projects.
