AJ Hudson was born in Pasadena, California, to a diverse family with a rich cultural heritage. His father, Troy Hudson, a sports trainer and coach, hails from Portland, Oregon, while his mother, Sarita Swartz, a novelty jewelry maker, is from Pasadena, California, with roots in Puerto Rico. AJ has two younger brothers from his father's previous marriage, who are five and six years old. Growing up in the San Fernando Valley, AJ attended private schools and has been fortunate to have had a wide range of academic and extracurricular opportunities.
AJ is a multi-talented individual who excels in various fields. He is an actor, honor roll student, and a two-sport star athlete in football and basketball. He also has a passion for music, is a trained piano player, and enjoys singing, often performing mashups of songs from renowned artists such as Queen, Eminem, Beethoven, Mozart, and Broadway hits like In The Heights and Hamilton.
AJ's acting career began when he was around seven years old, and he quickly demonstrated a natural talent for comedy, memorization, and public speaking. He landed numerous speaking roles in national and international commercials, working with prominent brands like Nike, Walmart, Chrysler Pacifica, Volkswagen, and Pizza Hut. He also booked guest starring roles on popular TV shows, including It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Blackish, The Good Place, Brooklyn 99, Pure Genius, and Shining Vale.
