Ahmed Azmy embarked on his illustrious career at a remarkably young age, his journey commencing when he was just 11 years old. During this period, he would craft poems and submit them to a children's radio show, where they would captivate the attention of Mohamed Hamdy, the president of radio broadcasting at the time. Hamdy's recognition of Azmy's talent led him to introduce the young poet to Abla Fadila, who extended an invitation for him to become a regular contributor to her renowned children's radio show.
This initial exposure to the radio world ultimately paved the way for Azmy's introduction to the esteemed actress Inaam elKretili, who played a pivotal role in propelling his career in television. His first foray into television acting came when he appeared as a child actor in the popular TV show "The Knights" starring Ahmed Abdel Aziz. Upon completing his high school education, Azmy enrolled in the prestigious High Academy of Performing Arts to further hone his craft and acquire a formal education in acting.
In addition to his academic pursuits, Azmy also joined the director Youssef Shahin's talent agency, which provided him with his first significant role as an adult in the film "Closed Doors" after he successfully navigated a rigorous audition process. Azmy's outstanding performance in this film earned him numerous "Best Actor" awards at three different movie festivals in 2001. He later went on to appear in Yousry Nasrallah's film "The City," solidifying his reputation as a talented and versatile actor.
