Biography

Adrian Sparks, a renowned actor of the American stage, was born in the United Kingdom and raised in the United States. Throughout his illustrious career, he has had the privilege of performing leading roles at some of the most prestigious theaters in the country, including The Tyrone Guthrie in Minnesota, Seattle Repertory, Long Wharf, and the Shakespeare Theater Company in Washington D.C.

One of his most notable performances was in the one-man play "Papa" in 2005, where he portrayed Ernest Hemingway, earning him an Ovation Award nomination for Best Actor. In 2009, he received the Acclaim Award for Best Leading Actor and the CEA Award for Best Actor for his outstanding portrayal of Sharky in "The Seafarer" at the Ensemble Theater in Cincinnati.

Since 2010, Adrian has been a leading member of the Shakespeare Company at The Old Globe in San Diego, created by Adrian Noble. His performance as Matthew Harrison Brady in the acclaimed production of "Inherit the Wind" in 2013 led to a nomination for a Craig Noel Award as Best Actor.

As a film actor, Adrian has appeared in over 75 productions, including notable roles such as Ernest Hemingway in the 2015 film "Papa Hemingway in Cuba," written by Denne Bart Petitclerc and directed by Bob Yari.
