Adrian Carr is a multi-award-winning director and film editor, renowned for his work on notable films such as The Man from Snowy River, starring Kirk Douglas, and Quigley Down Under, a western starring Tom Selleck.
He directed the romantic drama Now and Forever, starring Cheryl Ladd, and the martial arts action film The Sword of Bushido, set in Thailand. Additionally, he helmed the pilot and early episodes of the iconic Mighty Morphin Power Rangers television series, as well as several episodes of the Warner Bros International TV series The New Adventures of Robin Hood.
Carr's direction of the live-action sequences for the Tex Murphy computer game series, including The Pandora Directive, Overseer, and Tesla Effect, garnered critical acclaim and numerous awards. The Pandora Directive still ranks #9 in AdventureGamers' Top 100 All-Time Adventure Games.
He has also directed notable voice actors such as John Travolta, Samuel L. Jackson, Christian Slater, Anne Archer, Sarah Michelle Gellar, David Warner, and Lacey Chabert for the 3-D Imax animation project Quantum Quest.
Carr's feature filmography includes the drama-comedy Mind Games, and his unsettling dramatic shorts Permanent Stays and Blood Makes Noise, which won awards at the Australian Cinematographers Society and the New York International Independent Film and Video Festival, respectively.
Recently, he directed and edited the sci-fi pilot Solus, which won numerous awards at the 2021 LA Shorts Festival, including Best Short Film, Best Male Director, Best Visual Effects, Best Music Score, Best Sound Design, and Best Film of the Month.
During the Covid lockdown, Carr wrote, directed, and edited the dramatic short When The Chips Are Down, starring Larry Thomas, which was accepted into the Pasadena International Film Festival.
Aside from his work in film and television, Carr is a talented stills photographer with a decade of experience as the official photographer for the British Academy of Film And Television Arts/Los Angeles. He has photographed headshots for numerous actors and actresses and has created several notable calendars and coffee table books.
Carr is currently directing three feature films: A Dolphin in our Lake, starring Noah Wyle, set to lens in September 2026, PeeksKill, a supernatural-horror-mystery, and Do It Scared, a faith-centric movie based on the true story of Rob Galea, the last person you'd expect to become a rock star or world famous priest, but he became both.
