Aditya Roy Kapur is an Indian actor who has made a significant impact in the Hindi film industry. His educational background includes studying at G. D. Somani Memorial School in Mumbai, followed by St. Xavier's and St. Andrew's College.
Before entering the film industry, Kapur started his career as a VJ on Channel V India, hosting shows like Pakao and India's Hottest alongside VJ Bruna Abdullah from 2007 to 2008. He made his debut in Hindi cinema with a supporting role in London Dreams (2009),starring Ajay Devgn, Salman Khan, and Asin.
Kapoor's breakthrough role came with Action Replayy (2010),where he played the son of Akshay Kumar and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. He then appeared in Guzaarish (2010) alongside Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
Kapoor's first lead role was in Aashiqui 2 (2013),which was a massive hit, earning approximately Rs. 1.45 billion in the first four weeks. The movie won several awards, and Kapoor received the Best Actor in a Romantic Role award at the BIG Star Entertainment Awards.
He then appeared in Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani (2013) alongside Ranbir Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, and Kalki Koechlin, winning his first IIFA Award for Best Supporting Actor.
Kapoor's subsequent films include Daawat-e-Ishq (2014),Fitoor (2016),and OK Jaanu (2017),in which he paired with Shraddha Kapoor once again.
In 2019, he appeared in Kalank, a star-studded movie, and Malang, in which he played the role of Adavit Thakur. He received praise for his strong performance as a fearless man seeking revenge.
In 2020, Kapoor released two movies on OTT platforms: Sadak 2 and Ludo. His recent films include Om - The Battle Within (2022) and appearances in the web series SideHero and The Night Manager.
