Adelina Anthony, a multifaceted creative force, hails from the rich cultural heritage of the Payaya Territories, specifically San Antonio, Tejas. This accomplished Two Spirit Xicana lesbian artist has made a lasting impact in the entertainment industry, boasting a repertoire of critically acclaimed and award-winning works as an actor, writer, director, producer, and teaching artist.
In 2012, Adelina co-founded AdeRisa Productions alongside Marisa Becerra, a pioneering initiative designed to amplify the talents of individuals from their communities in both on-camera and behind-the-scenes roles. The themes that permeate their work are deeply rooted in the complexities of colonization, feminism, ancestral memories, gender, health, race and ethnicity, im/migration, sexuality, land and environmental issues, and the unique struggles faced by Two Spirit, queer, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, womyn of color, and people of color communities.
Currently residing and working on the ancestral lands of the Tongva and Chumash, Adelina has been a staple on the national university circuit since 2001, captivating audiences with her solo shows, stand-up comedy, poetry readings, workshops, classroom visits, and graduation keynotes.
